Co-Founder and CEO

Jeremy is a multi-award-winning strategy leader who worked with Saatchi & Saatchi, TBWA, McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy in London and New York before co-founding Distillery. Since high school he has been fascinated by the power of an idea to change the way people think and act. As reflected in his interest in the distilled simplicity of modernist and brutalist architecture, he believes that a structured, disciplined approach to strategy provides the framework for the creative leaps that transform brands and businesses.

Paul’s hunger for knowledge and desire to drive positive change is evident throughout his career. As well as strategic leadership roles at Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey, he has Masters degrees in Business, Organizational Behavior and Psychotherapy and is a qualified Psychotherapist. This combination of skills allows him to peel back layers to identify underlying motivations, developing strategies and training programs that make a lasting impact because they address underlying psychological needs. Moreover, as head of one of London’s leading rowing clubs, Paul knows how to motivate a team to win.

Maria is former Chief Strategy Officer of some of the most admired creative agencies in London and New York. She works with client leadership to realize the commercial potential of brands as multipliers of corporate culture, as well as drivers of market share. When not transforming brands she is brushing up her Italian and accelerating gender equality as a member of WACL (Women in Advertising & Communications Leadership.) She is a huge sports fan, watching Fulham FC when she can and Grand Slam tennis when she’s lucky.

It’s probably enough to say that Neil is a Fellow of the Market Research Society, winner of the Research Effectiveness Award and former Joint Managing Director of pioneering agency, The Research Business International. But what makes him a leader in quantitative research is his ability to use it not just to measure, but to distill insights that unlock opportunities for growth. All while teaching cooking to seniors, practicing Tai Chi, singing in an alt-folk group and finding time for skiing and the occasional game of golf or cricket.

Carol’s breadth of experience allows her to take a 360 perspective on brand problems and ensure solutions work commercially as well as strategically. She started her career in finance before shifting to brand management with Heinz, then consulting where she worked with mid-market and growth stage companies to develop and implement growth plans. At the heart of this is a deep interest in consumer behavior and an uncanny ability to walk in people’s shoes and understand and meet their needs.
